Samsung is going to unveil its new flagship chipset the Samsung Exynos 1080 on November 12th. This would be the first time for Samsung to held a conference for the processor launch. Recently we have seen the Samsung Exynos 1080 AnTuTu Benchmark scores, surpass almost 690K, which is more than the score of Snapdragon 865 and 865+.
As Exynos has posted on their Weibo account, in which the launch date has been mentioned, and it will be held on November 12th in Shanghai. Samsung is also working on another top-notch SoC, the Exynos 2100 but it might take some time.
Samsung has begun attention to use its own Exynos chipset in Samsung’s next flagship devices in the future. However, the Exynos 1080 is the Samsung flagship chipset so far to be unveiled. It is based on 5nm Architecture, the same as Apple A14 Bionic Chip. As we can expect better optimization and high performance from this specific chipset.
Compare to the Snapdragon 865 and 865+, the Exynos 1080 shows some great number on paper, but we can’t say anything yet about its performance. The Exynos 1080 will be featuring four Cortex A78 (large cores) and four Cortex A55 (small cores). For better graphics performance it will have a Mali G78 GPU. After its launch, we might expect the Samsung Exynos 1080 Chipset first in the Vivo X series phone as per agreement. After that, it will be used in Samsung’s upcoming flagship phones.
