Nintendo Unveiled the new iteration of Nintendo Switch with an OLED display, slightly bigger battery, and Nvidia Custom Tegra processor. The OLED Switch will be released on October 8 with a price tag of $349.99, hence pre-order is not started yet, and can be expected in the near future.
It’s a screen upgrade, the OLED Switch will feature a 7 inch OLED display with a resolution of 1280×720. There is no native 4k support, neither has a 4k screen. It’s just an upgrade from the LCD panel to an OLED panel with having the same resolution of 720p. However, it can output 1080p resolution when connected via HDMI in TV mode.
Furthermore, there aren’t any internal upgrades, so under the hood, you would get the same internals, the Standard Switch has. You won’t see any major upgrade regarding CPU or RAM. despite this, you will have some extra battery juice, which can give you up to 9 hours of battery life.
Moreover, all the existing games in the Nintendo Library will run on this new Nintendo console. Whilst you can connect your previous joy-cons with OLED Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo Switch OLED comes within two color variants, (neon red and blue). Additionally this time Nintendo also revealed a new color option, that has White Joy-Cons as well as a White dock. So this time gaming nerds would have plenty of colors choices.
