Samsung Galaxy M20's specs and details leaked via User Manual images

Yesterday, Samsung India announced budget Galaxy M series. They said, 3 phones will launch on 28th January. One of the phones in the Galaxy M series, Galaxy M20’s specs leaked via the official user manual.

A Dutch website, Mobielkopen leaked a few images from what looks like Galaxy M20’s user manual:-

As you can see from the image, here are a few things we learned. We already knew that the phones will have a Waterdrop Notch. The notch also houses the single Front Camera. Above the notch, we have a small speaker grill.

We also see the thin bezels on the Samsung Infinity-V display. Much like other Galaxy phones, the volume rockers and power button are on the right side. The presence of a hybrid SIM Card/Memory Card tray on the left hints at expandable storage.

Update: Galaxy M10 leaked via user manual too. M10 seems to have a dedicated Memory Card Slot with Dual SIM slots. So, I hope Galaxy M20 will have a dedicated slot for the microSD card too.

On the back, we have Dual Camera with flash and a fingerprint sensor. NFC antenna is on the back too. The phone will support Quick Charging. So, it makes sense that the phone has a USB Type-C port alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom.

Here’s another image from the alleged Galaxy M20 User Manual:-

I am guessing this is the page that talks about the various unlocking options on Galaxy M20. The second image shows the fingerprint sensor. The third image shows what looks like Face Unlock. I am not sure what the first one means. Could it be Wireless Charging? What do you guys think?

Galaxy M20 Specs

The website also has listed the probable specs of Galaxy M20:-

  • Samsung Exynos 7885 SoC
  • 3GB RAM
  • ROM – 32GB / 64GB
  • 6.3 inch LCD Display (1080x2340px, 19.5:9 Aspect Ratio)
  • Dual 13MP (1.12μm, f/1.9) + 5MP (1.12 μm, f/2.2) Camera
  • 5000mAh Battery
  • Android 8.1 Oreo

All the phones in the Galaxy M series are priced between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000. With 5000mAh Battery, Galaxy M20 will get to compete with the likes of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2. And, Quick Charge with USB Type-C port is great for the price.

Let me remind you that the recently released Redmi Note 7 with 48MP Camera costs about Rs. 10,000 in China. Moreover, the budget Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL will launch by May in US and India.
