Galaxy M20 vs M10: Which one is the best for you?
That’s a difficult question to answer for now. But, here are a few questions to consider before you choose either of these phones. Anyways, you still have time because the phone will go on sale on 5th February, 2019 only via Amazon and Samsung India’s online store.
Camera: Galaxy M10 vs M20
Most people are looking for great Camera on phones nowadays. And, for those Selfie and Portrait Maniacs, all that matters on a phone is Camera. Galaxy M series was made especially for the youth, the millennials. Thus, both Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 have the same Rear Camera i.e, the Dual 13MP Camera with an aperture of f/1.9 and a 120° Ultra Wide Lens.
Owing to a faster, Exynos 7904 SoC on the Galaxy M20, the phone might process the images a bit faster than M10. But, you can expect similar photo qualities when it comes to the Rear Camera. With an aperture of f/1.9, you can also capture great photos in low lit conditions.
That being said, if you are a Selfie maniac, you might find differences in photos taken o the Front Cameras of M20 compared to M10. M20 has an 8MP Front Camera while M10 has 5MP. Both of them come with an In-display Flash though.
If you are looking at a good smartphone camera alone, then you should probably go for the Galaxy M10. But, if you are really into selfies, there’s no harm in going a mile extra for the Galaxy M20.
Gaming & Battery: Galaxy M10 vs M20
Let’s get realistic though. With just 2GB RAM on the Galaxy M10, you might not exactly get the PUBG experience you were hoping for. On Galaxy M20, with Exynos 7904 SoC and Mali G71 MP2 GPU, PUBG won’t be an issue. These phones also come with LPDDR4 RAM modules.
When it comes to gaming, another thing to consider is the Battery life. What good is a powerful SoC if your battery is too tiny. 3400mAh Battery on the M10 is “OK,” but, when it comes to gaming, M20’s 5000mAh Battery is what you should get.
Entertainment: Galaxy M10 vs M20
As for Entertainment, both the phones come with Widevine L1 Certifications. This means you can watch HD content on your favorite streaming platform like Netflix, Amazon Prime out of the box.
Galaxy M20 though also has Dolby ATMOS. Moreover, it has a slightly larger screen. But, the difference lies in the fact that M20 comes with a Full HD+ Display with a resolution of 2340x1080px. M10 on the other hand has an HD+ Display. If you are looking for an entertainment device, M20 should be your choice.
Performance: Galaxy M10 vs M20
Frankly, Samsung hasn’t always done a good job when it comes to UI. Remember TouchWiz? We still have to see if Samsung Experience v9.5 is any better. Anyways, if you are looking for a powerhouse, do not think twice! Galaxy M20 is what you should get.
If you are looking at a phone for general light purposes, you may get the Galaxy M10. It’s a good phone. The only thing that I am skeptic about is the UI. I would love to see if it starts freezing after a while.
Apart from those features, almost everything is similar between Galaxy M20 and M10. It all comes down to this – Are you looking for an entertainment powerhouse or just a smartphone with a good camera? Oh, and, if you are looking at a budget phone right now, I would also suggest you to wait for the Redmi Note 7. Here are 6 good reasons why you might want to wait for Redmi Note 7.
