With this new feature, WhatsApp users will mute the video before sending it to someone. The users will have a choice of muting the video clips before sharing them with there contacts.

The new mute video option appears on the video editing screen. At first there was just an emoji option, a text and edit options available; now the company added a new sound icon below the video seek bar.

The sound of the videos can be muted by just clicking on the volume icon. Other than this, nothing has been changed. Also, the feature is working on beta versions.
