Ticketmaster has unveiled a full integration of Apple Wallet features for its platform, offering an upgraded ticket experience.
The new Apple Wallet-enabled tickets will provide event attendees with valuable information, including venue maps, parking details, recommended playlists from Apple Music, local weather forecasts, and easy location-sharing options to help friends meet up at the event, according to a recent announcement from Ticketmaster. Additionally, venues and teams will have the ability to include links to their apps or websites on the digital tickets.
The rollout will debut at Los Angeles Football Club’s (LAFC) home game at BMO Stadium on Saturday, October 19. The Miami Heat will also adopt the new ticketing features at their home court later this year. Ticketmaster aims to simplify access to essential information for event-goers.
Fans using iOS 18 or later can add their tickets to Apple Wallet through the Ticketmaster app or their team’s official app. Once added, tickets will appear in the user’s Apple Wallet for seamless entry. The barcode on the phone screen allows for quick scanning at venue entrances.
With iOS 18’s upgrades, these enhanced tickets will now display key details such as parking, weather updates, and merchandise links related to the event. However, the availability of these features may vary depending on the specific event, as venues and teams can customize the ticket content.
While the feature launches this month with the LAFC game, Ticketmaster plans to make it more broadly available to users next year.
