A corroborated Art Lead at Activision replied to a question on the gaming forum Reset Era. He confirmed that Warzone is not switching engines and all the confusion regarding new game integration will come soon.
For those who do not know, Warzone and Black Ops run on different engines. And it’s clear now that Warzone will not be running on a new engine. But, the weapons, load-outs, and Skill operators from the brand new Call of Duty game are coming in the battle royal if integration happened in December 2020.
