Apple Music could soon get the HiFi music streaming tier with iOS 14.6, this will give support for Dolby Atmos, Dolby Audio, and lossless audio. As a report suggest that the HiFi music might be released in the coming weeks. The streaming tier is still in beta testing.
9to5Mac reported, and claim that Apple will introduce a new HiFi support for Apple Music. A code found by 9to5Mac suggests support for HiFi songs. The iOS 14.6 is in the current stages of beta testing, and it will have support for Apple HiFi Music once it debuted.
Another report suggests, that the pricing plans will be the same just like before. It will cost $9.99 per month for the regular subscription.
What does this HiFi support mean? So actually the HiFi songs will have a better sound quality and less audio compression. Having support for Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Audio will give an extra surround sound.
Additionally, Spotify is also working on a HiFi plan, which will be featuring HiFi songs. Despite this, Spotify may charge extra for its HiFi plan rather than its regular subscription.
Furthermore, this new Apple Music HiFi support may be launch in the coming weeks along with AirPods (3rd Gen). However, there isn’t any official statement made yet. As Ming-Chi Kuo an Analyst suggests, Apple might release the upcoming AirPods in the third quarter of this year.
