Apple is reportedly working on two exciting new products set for release in 2026, according to supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The products include a smart home security camera and updated AirPods featuring enhanced health management capabilities.
Kuo’s information points to Goertek, an Apple supplier, being tasked with production for both items. While Apple has not ventured into manufacturing its own security cameras yet, it allows users to manage compatible cameras through its Home app.

A dedicated Apple-branded smart camera would likely attract attention, especially with the company’s strong focus on privacy, seamless integration with its ecosystem, and intuitive design.
Currently, the market for home security cameras is saturated with numerous options, but Apple’s entry could distinguish itself by offering unique features tied to the broader Apple ecosystem.
Additionally, rumors suggest that Apple is preparing to launch a smart home display by 2025, leaving some uncertainty about whether the smart camera Kuo mentioned is a part of that same product line.
Kuo further highlighted that Apple views IP cameras as a significant growth opportunity, estimating the total annual market for these cameras to range between 30 to 40 million units. Apple’s goal is to capture about 10 million shipments of these devices.
The timing for the smart home camera’s release aligns with the anticipated wider adoption of Matter-enabled devices, and Apple is expected to expand its presence in the smart home accessory market in the coming years.
