We learned about Motorola working on reviving Moto RAZR as a foldable smartphone in 2019. Then, a designer, Sarang Sheth shared a few concept image of the Moto RAZR. Now, Waqar Khan has shared a 360 Render video of the foldable Moto RAZR 2019.
Let me remind you that the phone might be pretty expensive. The current guess is around $1500 in the USA via Verizon. Anyways, what tech lover doesn’t like concepts, right? Tech lover reminds me our list of the best deals on tech this Valentine’s Day.
Moto RAZR 2019 Concept Video (360°)
Here’s the render video of the foldable phone Moto RAZR 2019 that Waqar shared via his YouTube channel:-
The renders look very close to the concept put forward by Sarang in his concept images. But, this video is based on the leaked WIPO Schematic of the Moto RAZR uploaded by Motorola themselves. And, I must say, Waqar has done a great job at bringing those schematics to life.
Apart from showing off the phone in its entirety, he also shows the inner folding mechanism with clockwork like things. The 3:47 minutes long video is great to watch.
And, I believe Waqar is an MKBHD fan. In the video, Moto RAZR is shown off in 3 colours – Blue, Black and Red. The designer has named the red variant MKBHD Edition. The phone’s screen is seen displaying a video featuring MKBHD and Unbox Therapy’s Lewis.
The Secondary Screen makes a comeback. This video though shows some good uses of the Secondary Screen. In a portion, the Secondary Screen is seen displaying Social icons – Facebook, Twitter, etc. Upon clicking on Facebook and opening the phone up, Facebook app opens.
The Motorola logo is on the back. Unlike Sarang’s images that showed the logo in a small groove, this one shows it flat. Maybe, the logo won’t double up as a Fingerprint scanner after all. Only time will tell though.
Another thing to notice is, the absence of a Front Camera. I am guessing the Primary Camera will double up as the Front Camera by using the Secondary Screen as the Display if you are taking a selfie. That would be cool.
Did you own the Original Moto RAZR back in the day? Would you shell out $1500 for the foldable Moto RAZR or would you prefer the Royole FlexPai? Let us know in the comments what features you think the Moto RAZR 2019 will have.
